To whom it may concern,

I just received news from Hanoi bloggers that yesterday, around 10:30AM, Oct. 16, 2011, blogger Bui Hang (a Vietnamese patriot who was active in the recent peaceful walks to protect Vietnam's sovereignty over Spratly and Paracels islands) was taken away by both uniformed and undercover Vietnamese police forces.

Bui Hang was standing at Hoan Kiem Lake with her friends, peacefully expressing her patriotism toward her country by wearing her palm-leaf conical hat which had a hand-written "anti-Chinese invading schemes" slogan. A bunch of undercover and uniformed police agents stormed in, grabbed her hat and all the other hats in the hands of her friends . They later carried Bui Hang into a blue van and drove away .

It has been passed 2 AM Oct. 17th, 2011, yet her family and friends still haven't heard any news regarding her whereabouts. They are very concerned for her health and safety .

Please help to request the government of Vietnam to release blogger Bui Hang immediately and unconditionally .

Thank you very much for your attention and support .

Respectfully,

Blogger Biệt Kích
