Thư gởi quốc tế về sự bắt giữ trái pháp luật những người yêu nước tại Sài Gòn

To Whom It May Concern,

On Sunday, November 27, 2011, Mrs. Bui Thi Minh Hang (also known as blogger Bui Hang) was cheering for a group of young patriotic men and women who played soccer while wearing  No-U uniforms at Our Lady Cathedral in Saigon.
 

Vietnamese police used excessive forces to take these young patriotics into Ben Nghe Police Headquarter.  Blogger Bui Hang had come to the police headquarter to ask for the reason why they held up these young patriotics.  No reason was given.  Instead, the police held up Bui Hang in the police headquarter, then one day later, they released all the other young patriotics.

From that day on, Bui Hang’s two sons and her friends could not see her any more .  The two son went all the streets of Saigon and passed out “Searching For Our Mom” leaflets.  The police arrested these two sons and held up for several days and then forced them to go back to their home in Vung Tau .

Under the pressure of the public, Vietnam government sent a notice to Bui Hang’s two sons that Bui Hang is now being forced to stay in “re-education” camp in Vinh Phuc for two years.  We all know that “re-education” camp under communism is just a form of cruel prison, where they hold political prisoners and human rights activists in the same cells with drug addicts.

Bui Hang did not have any trials and due process of law.  She was not allow to meet any attorney.  She did not commit any crimes . She was just expressing her rights of freedom of speech.  The families and friends are very concerned for her health and safety.

We urge you to pressure the government of Vietnam to release blogger Bui Hang immediately and unconditionally.  Vietnamese citizens are entitled to their rights of expressions, according to Vietnam Constitution and international laws .
